Wrapping it up!

Wow! It has been SO busy here! I'm sorry it has been so long since my last update.

Since then, a lot has happened. We've done MANY English Corners all over Guangzhou and have met many people. We have seen so many great things happen over the past few weeks, but I will have to tell you about them more when I get home.

Last week, I went to a factory for three days and two nights to work with the staff on their English. It was a good time for continuing to build relationships with some of the people I had met when I had been there in December. However, it was a very busy time for them: returning from Spring Festival (Chinese New Year), managers' meetings, a visit from the company VP, production picking up...So, our numbers were very low compared to the last time we were there. It was a little discouraging, but the conversations that we WERE able to have were so blessed!

On Saturday, we visited an orphange...a very rare and unique opportunity here. It was so good to spend time with the kids, but also heartbreaking in many ways. Most of the children there had disabilities or some kind of physical deformities. Unfortunately, most of these children are also considered unadoptable. It was hard to be there and think about that, but the best we could do was love them, hold them, play with them, and pray for them while we were there. It was a really eye-opening and convicting experience.

We've been pretty busy over the past few days and will continue to be fairly busy until we leave for Beijing on Sunday! We have some time off on Friday and Saturday so that we can pack up all our stuff, but we still have some activities (i.e. English Corners, meeting with people we've met here, and going on a hike).

It's hard to believe this whole journey is almost over, but it's been an amazing, life-changing experience. I can't wait to get home and tell everyone about it!
